Derived from the latin word aperire, meaning means “to open”, the tradition favours drinks that are light, dry or bittersweet. Examples of drinks that can be enjoyed as aperitivo include Aperol Spritz, Campari Soda, Prosecco and the Negroni.They are generally low in alcohol and served with light snacks like nuts, olives, cheese or charcuterie.
