French Martini
French Martini
A French Martini is a sweet and tart cocktail made with vodka, pineapple juice and Chambord (French black raspberry liqueur). Created in the 1980s at Keith McNally’s Balthazar restaurant in New York, it is fruity, sweet and velvety, often garnished with a raspberry or lemon. Although it is served in a martini glass, it is different from the classic Martini in that it contains no vermouth, uses vodka instead of gin and is shaken rather than stirred.
