Spritzer
Spritzer
A wine spritzer is a low alcohol cocktail made by mixing white, red or rosé wine with sparkling or soda water. Aromatic white wines like Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling and Gewürztraminer are commonly used. Because they are served over ice, spritzers are popular in the summer and when the weather is warmer. The drink originated in Austria as a way to dilute wine and it may be served with citrus twists, fresh herbs (mint, basil) or fruit.
